Samartians Crisis Line Volunteer Training

The Samaritans of Merrimack Valley, a program of Family Services of the Merrimack Valley, relies on volunteers who are trained to help people who call our confidential crisis help lines.  People from all walks of life are trained to offer support and caring for those who are lonely, despairing or suicidal.  We are always looking for compassionate people who are willing to give 5 hours a week to befriend our callers.  Our next training will be on Wednesday, August 17 and Wednesday, August 24 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm here at Family Services, 430 North Canal Street in Lawrence.  Attendance at both sessions is required.  Food will be provided.  Please call Janice at 978-327-6674 for more information or to register.
